Wordpress, Web 4, and me

Philip,

That's probably a good idea for now. Learn HTML & CSS to a point where you are very comfortable using them then start on PHP and applications like WordPress once you have at least some familiarity with PHP.

A very good point Cheryl. I recently had a client decide to move their site over to a WordPress design because they thought it would empower the novice web designers to make changes and add content. So they put the initial setup and design out for bids. I didn't bid fortunately. The project is online but as it turns out, it wasn't as easy as they had imagined. All of those simple WordPress pages that the rookies are now editing and adding look like crap and the pro who set it up for them is taking the heat. The moral is, if you don't know html and css don't think you can be adding content to a web site and have it look professional even if it is WordPress.
